With the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel in the background, crab dredgers work through a squall in the lower Bay. The dredgers used powerful steel rakes to capture wintering female crabs, most of them carrying eggs. The day this photo was taken, one boat sank and three people drowned.
